Hey guys! This is my report for an industrial engineering class called Probability and Statistic in Engineering I - IE 230 - AUM . I enjoyed writing this short report a lot, and I do not care that I did not get a good grade in it for writing extra stuff XD (My group-mates helped a little bit.)
Marital status is a term that indicates if a person is married or not. Other than married or not, some people could be widowed, divorced, not stated and many other possibilities. In this report, we collected data in Dasman region about marital status of Kuwaiti and non Kuwaiti people as well.
Collecting and organizing data is very important for various reasons. The data could be used to answer questions, analyze and help improving, and developing the researching process.
The data that we are talking
about in this report uses categorical variables. So finding descriptive
statistic like; mean, median, variance, and standard deviation will not be
helpful to analyze the data.
At the end, we have reached to the conclusion that Dasman region's population is mostly non Kuwaitis, and more than half of them are married. The same goes to Kuwaiti people in Dasman region, almost 50% of them are married. That shows that most of the populations in Dasman region are married. We would not have known this information if we did not collect and analyze the data.

The data in the table above shows us that most
Kuwaiti people have never got married, while most non Kuwaiti people in Dasman
are
married. The number of divorced people who are Kuwaitis is 29 while only 13 non
Kuwaiti people have been divorced before. Some people in Dasman
region
have lost their partner to death. The number of Kuwaiti people who are widowed
is ten while for non-Kuwaiti people it is only four, but on the other hand,
there are 6 non Kuwaiti people who are not stated under any type of marital
status compared to zero Kuwaiti people being unstated.
The pie chart above shows us that only 43.5% of Kuwaiti people are married while 51.5% of non-Kuwaiti people are married, which is more than half of the population of non-Kuwaiti people in Dasman region. On the other hand, 44.7% of Kuwaiti people and 47.1% of non-Kuwaiti people have never ever got married before in their entire life. We can notice that the percentage of divorced people is way higher for Kuwaiti people compared to non-Kuwaitis inside the same region.
